Gena Golden is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, psychotherapist, speaker, trainer, coach and author. Mrs.Golden is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) from Temple University in 1991 and her Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Clark Atlanta University School of Social Work in 1993. She was trained in hypnotherapy in 2014.
Her holistic therapy practice embraces a mind, body and soul centered approach that focuses on helping clients discover their divine inner power to help heal their suffering. The therapeutic modalities that resonate with Mrs. Golden are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. She uses mindfulness techniques and strength based approaches to Hypnotherapy in her practice as well. Mrs. Golden’s clients enjoy the complementary modalities she incorporates in her practice such as her training as doula, reiki and energy practitioner, healing crystals, aromatherapy and neurocoach leadership training to serve her clients.
Mrs. Golden was the Founding Director of an agency that provided services to adults with intellectual disabilities through community access services, residential services, supportive employment, life sharing programs and training. She has over 23 years of combined experience providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, developmental/intellectual disabilities, bereavement and grief counseling, services to the homeless and transient population, substance abuse treatment, DUI clinical evaluations, forensic social work, social security disability evaluations and worked with people with severe mental health disorders.
