Julie Clockston is the founder of Julie Clockston Counseling LLC DBA Therapy Rocks; she is a Licensed Social Worker who has recently completed clinical supervision toward her post-graduate level hours to become an LCSW. She is the proud recipient of the 2018 NASW CO early career social worker award. She received her Master’s degree in social work in 2015 from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Work degree from Capella University where she has achieved doctoral candidacy. She has been working in mental health care for 23 years. She specializes in a variety of therapeutic modalities, but it is her extensive study and time working with individuals who have experienced trauma that allows her to provide special care to individuals who have been victimized. The abuse that takes place is known as pathological, interpersonal and relationship abuse also known as emotional and psychological abuse.
Together with clients she works to create a place where their authentic self is welcomed, where all aspects of their emotions and life are given space to sprout, flourish and thrive, where laughter and tears are supported, and numbness grief loss and pain are given space
