Katrina Brown is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. She completed her Bachelor’s at University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002 and her Master’s at Northern Illinois University in 2005. She is currently licensed in Texas and Missouri.

Before moving to Prosper, TX, Katrina was a therapist at a residential facility in Kansas City, KS working with children 6 to 18 with severe emotional disturbance and behavior problems for 2 years and then moved to St. Louis in 2007. Katrina’s career has also included working with adults with developmental disabilities in the community and working for the State of Missouri as an Investigator. However, her passion has always been in counseling. Katrina’s specialities are working with individuals, couples, families and children dealing with divorce/separation, blended families, and absent parents. She has also worked with a variety of individuals including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, families dealing with substance abuse/alcoholism, and those exposed to neighborhood violence. Katrina utilizes a variety techniques, but likes cognitive behavior and systems theory as an approach to therapy. She likes to point out roles, rules, and dynamics that often play out in families in order to facilitate change. Katrina is not afraid of conflict and helps couples and families learn how to interact differently.
