Maria Davis-Pierre is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Maria is the founder and owner of Autism in Black Inc. and Day by Day Therapeutic Services Inc. She is a therapist, coach, speaker, and advocate. Maria has extensive experience working with children on the spectrum and their families, as well as working with mothers dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety.
Autism in Black Inc., aims to provide support to black parents who have a child on the spectrum, through educational and advocacy services. Autism in Black Inc. is dedicated to bringing awareness and acceptance to Autism Spectrum Disorder and reducing the stigma associated with ASD in the black community.
Day by Day Therapeutic Services is dedicated to bringing awareness to postpartum depression and anxiety in the black community and serving black women dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety.
Maria uses an strength’s based approach to provide support and feedback to help clients in developing solutions that are needed to make the changes they want in their lives.
Maria graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology and went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Maria is currently working on her Ph.D. in Family Therapy from Nova as well.
