Dr. Saudia L. Twine possesses a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Doctorate degree in Professional Counseling. Dr. Twine helps couples connect and build solid, strong marriages. She believes every person, couple and family, if given the proper guidance, can find the path to their own personal and relational success. Her goal is to help restore the sanctity of the marital covenant and to help couples to understand themselves and their spouses, develop healthy emotional expression, and to address issues from the past that affect how they evaluate, perceive and respond to personal experiences thereby promoting close connection, healing old wounds and overcoming relational challenges.

She has worked in various mental health settings with a variety of clients conducting outreach, intensive in-home therapy and outpatient treatment agencies. While she enjoys working with individuals to promote optimum mental and emotional health, her area of specialty is couples therapy (premarital and couples counseling). Dr. Twine has received training in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), the Gottman method, and premarital training (PREPARE/ENRICH). Dr. Twine has worked in a myriad of mental health settings to include: individual therapy, mental health support services, day treatment in elementary and high schools, intensive in-home family therapy for at-risk youth, couple’s outpatient premarital/marital therapy, and sex offender group therapy. In addition to treatment, she serves as an Adjunct Instructor for the graduate counseling programs at Liberty University and Spring Arbor University.
