Tamia Pleasants is a Professional Counselor currently licensed to practice in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is currently the owner of NyLu Therapeutic Solutions, where she, alongside her esteemed colleagues, conducts individual, couples, group, and family counseling.
Overcoming issues of rejection, abandonment, and fear of success has given Tamia a passion to help others deal with their issues head on, in order to lead healthy, productive, and successful lives.
Prior to branching out into private practice, Tamia has served almost all ages, in a variety of settings including churches, schools, colleges campuses, clinics, and hospitals.
Ms. Pleasants has more than 20 years of service in the helping profession and close to 15 years of direct counseling experience. She holds a B.S. in Psychology, and. M.A. in Community Counseling.
Growing up in the DC metropolitan area, Tamia was armed with a vision to be a relevant resource to the community, so that those in need have a place they can go to be heard, to be helped, and to find their success. Tamia uses an integrative approach to help equip, empower, and foster growth.
