Tatiana is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, who earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology at SUNY College of Old Westbury and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.
Her background includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in both Inpatient and Outpatient settings. She has experience working with clients dealing with , anxiety, depression, autism spectrum,family conflict, ADHD and other challenges throughout one’s lifespan.
Tatiana mainly uses Cognitive behavioral therapy and Solution focused approaches and techniques when working with clients. She believes that each client is an individual so each session is different and reflects the individual’s needs and strengths.
Tatiana has previously worked as a Preschool teacher and Camp Counselor. She understands that children learn to understand the world and their place in it through play. Tatiana believes in using play therapy techniques to help children open up, express themselves, develop social skills and learn more about themselves.
She enjoys getting to know her clients with compassion, empathy, honesty and understanding. Also helping clients to recognize the importance of healthy and positive coping skills.
